Allied Health Professionals

Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Podiatry are provided on a sessional basis at no cost. Allied Health Professionals such as Speech Pathologist, Dietician or other allied health professional will also be provided as necessary.

Visits to Allied Health Professionals
Arrangements for visits should be made by relatives/carers at a time convenient to them, as all residents must be escorted to appointments off the premises. Staff from the Facility are unavailable to escort residents unless it is a medical emergency.

Other Health Services

Optometry Services

Residents are free to access free public Optometric Services. Details are available from the local Public Hospital of your choice.

Oral Health

Residents are free to access the Public Dental Hospital. Residents or their relatives/carers should make arrangements at a time to suit them.

Hearing Services

Australian Hearing Services make visits during the year. Residents can request an appointment with Australian Hearing Services.


Medications and other Pharmaceutical products are supplied to Sarina Aged Residential Home Inc. by Terry White Chemists Sarina. The package system is designed to Accreditation and Best Practice requirements and is competitively priced. Individual itemised accounts from the Pharmacy are included with the Monthly Accounts and if there are any queries regarding these accounts, these can be made to the Pharmacy direct on Phone (07) 4956 1295 or at Reception.


The Hairdresser visits on a regular basis. Any services can be booked through staff, or arrangements can be made with the Hairdresser. All services are at the expense of the resident.

Ambulance Services

Effective from 1st January 1999, Queensland Ambulance Services are provided free to recipients of Centrelink pension payments and/or holders of Queensland Seniors Cards. Residents who do not receive a Centrelink pension payment and/or hold a Seniors Card are encouraged to maintain current financial membership of the Queensland Ambulance Service.

Religious Services

Residents have the right to practice their religion. Representatives from different religious denominations visit the home to provide pastoral and spiritual support on a regular basis.


Residents/relatives are encouraged to attend to their own shopping needs where possible. The facility conducts regular shopping trips in the bus and offers a small shop service weekly with limited offerings.
